engineering are responsible for shaping the product like for example cars
new designs appears every year who made it ( designers) which are engineerings
after the protuct finished then its the responsibility of the marketing managers who make advertising , promot there new product and try to increase the sales volume in the market

Hah, coming from an engineer here, I think this question should be in the Philosophy category. For an example, walk into a golf shop and look at golf balls, by definition they all have to have the same engineering definition: An appendix to the “Rules of Golf” defines that a golf ball must not weigh more than 45.93 grams (1.620 oz), that its diameter must not be less than 42.67 mm (1.680 in), and that its shape may not differ significantly from a symmetric sphere. That’s an engineering definition. But in the golf shop you’ll see tons of the same looking stuff with different labels and colors and marketing descriptions and prices.

Engineer explains the design, workings, and technology. In other words the features. The appeal is good for those of that ilk, but not the general consumer. For instance, computers GB, Ghz, etc. This is fine for the techno-geek or those with the knowledge.
The general consumer wants to know how will the product benefit him. Plays video and sound better that a movie theatre, manages your stock profile, and makes your coffee. These are benefits.
Marketing emphasizes the benefits over features.
Marketing explains Benefits & Features to make the sale. In other words bells, whistles, & frills that grab the attention of the customer.
