You need to build an opt-in list of customers so you can promote your products. Check what other IM’s do

Try this a free classified website, you can sell anything for free!

Some people put a link in the ad, to help direct traffic to their own business website. I think that is the cheapest way to promote your business, especially to those newly start up small business owner. $zero cost.

Hope this will help. Good luck!

You really have two questions. Driving traffic to your website is one thing and getting it to convert is another thing.

The best marketing depends on your time, skills, and budget.

Some Internet marketing methods are:

blogging
Squidoo
Pay per click
Ezine ads
online classifieds
Joint ventures

You should focus on one method, get it down, apply it and then go to the next method.

Now, whether your webite converts its visitors, will depend on your website. How many people does it take for one person to buy? To opt-in?

You have do split tests and everything else to optimize your website so it converts better.

The best way or the fastest way to see how well your site converts is to do pay per click advertising. Send traffic to your site and then just measusre how many took the action you wanted them to. From then on just test headlines, copy, etc..

Good luck.

List the site in directories like. Provides some traffic, but more importantly a backlink from a quality source that will help your organic search engine results.

Its is all about seo link building – If you don’t build links you cant get natural traffic. The most important components are building link popularity, search engine optimization which takes place in tweaking your html content and search engine promotion which involves a little ppc advertising. If you have great sales copy and strategically placed adsense ads, YPN ads and other affiliate programs, you should start to see the revenue coming. What you really need to do is climb over the learning curve, once thats done and you can start to do it on your own then you are ready to roll. Start with getting as much information as possible. Remember its all about tools, SEO tools to save you time in promoting so you can concentrate more on content. Yahoo Adsense is a great place to start – and you can pick up a lot of free ebooks and software there as well.
