Are yahoo groups supposed to be used as marketing tools by the owner of the group?
I have been a member of a group for 2 years and have discovered that the owner of the group is using it as a marketing tool. Of course I have had mu suspicions for about 1.5 years but I have finally found evidence to support the claim. This person claims that it is an informational group and that anybody can post on the group but when he posts a reply to a memebr with a marketing slant to it and one of the other members who is a competitor does likewise, the competitor is banned from the group. Is this a legitimate practice? Many of us a concerned about this and want to know what can be done.
