I just took an internet speed test, and not sure how to read the results?

I just tested my internet speed online and it’s saying 2889 Kbit/s for download, and 3278 Kbit/s for upload, and Ping says 21 ms. Can anyone help me out? Also what’s ping?
These I’m guessing are good speeds? Is the ping speed ok?

Your ping is how long it takes to send and recieve a packet(message) from your computer to the test server.

Strange speeds for upload.

Divide the numbers by 8 and you get the KB/sec download speed equivalent.

2889 / 8 = ~360 KB/sec theoretical maximum.

Also, ping is the amount of time it takes to send a packet to a destination and receive a reply.

Whether or not those are good speeds depends on what speeds you are paying for. You’re getting 2.8 mb down and 3.2 mb up. If you’re paying for a 3/3 service, then yes, those are good speeds. If you’re paying for a 10/10 service, then those are terrible speeds. 21 ms ping is great.
