One solution, if you are up to the task, is to use a bootable linux live cd, which basically runs from the cd, completely skips windows, and will work fine for browsing.

Chances are this should work, as long as you have a cd or dvd drive.

Knoppix and Damn Small Linux (DSL) are good; DSL is getting older but is like 50mb.

When I was 13 I had gotten a computer from the online school that I’m on, and it had content watch on it, after about 2 months of trying to kill that evil program, I finally came up with a way to get rid of it without needing a password:

Step 1 :
Restart computer and boot into safe mode:
Hit f8 on boot menu

Step 2:
View Hidden Files and Folders:
Go to My Computer–>Tools–>Folder Options–>View Tab–>Hidden Files and Folders–>Show Hidden Files and Folders–>Apply–>OK

Step 3:
Delete all Content Watch files:
Go to My Computer and delete all Content Watch files/folders from:
c:\program files
c:\documents and settings\all users\application data
c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs

Step 4:
Reboot computer into normal mode:
You will get a message saying “Content Watch Installation Error” just ignore it and continue to the next steps.

Step 5:
Correct your winsocks order:
Go to Start–>Run
Type in ’sporder’
Hit ‘OK’
There should be multiple entries starting with MSAFD and CWALSP.
Select one starting with ‘CWALSP’ (these should be at the top of the list) and press ‘down’ until it is at the bottom of the list
Do this for every other entry starting with ‘CWALSP’
Make sure the ‘MSAFD’ entries are at the top

click OK, and then say yes, you wish to continue.

Step 6:
Disable cwtray:
Start–>run–>type ‘msconfig’–>OK
go to ’startup’ tab
uncheck the box next to ‘cwtray’
Click OK

Step 7:
And finally reboot computer
(When you start your computer again and log in, you will get a message saying that the registry has been edited, just click don’t show this again, and OK)
